  • Patrick Ewald became the CEO of Epic Pictures Group, Inc. in 2007 with the goal of bringing original and visionary storytelling to a global audience. Patrick’s career in the film business spans over 20 years as a senior level executive and has been involved in the development, financing, production and marketing of over 100 films. Patrick has produced/executive produced over 35 films which include: “TURBO KID,” “SPACE DOGS,” “WHO GETS THE DOG,” “TALES OF HALLOWEEN,” ENTERTAINMENT,” “JERUZALEM,” “ENTERTAINMENT,” “THE DEVIL’S CHAIR,” “11-11-11” and is currently producing/executive producing “SEA FEVER,” “THE WINTER LAKE,” and “THE BALLAD OF AUDREY EARNSHAW.” You might find Patrick vanquishing man-eating spiders or orbiting space in the company of the first interstellar canines. You might find him quelling a zombie uprising or navigating an apocalyptic future with superheroes by his side. You might find him at any of the former, but more likely you'll find him at home with his wife, three daughters, and dog, Lola, curled up on the couch engrossed in a film. A New York City native, Mr. Ewald is a two-time Saturn Award winner and an active member of the Producers Guild of America. He graduated from Duke University with a degree in film studies.

  • Originally from California, Katie moved from San Francisco to Los Angeles by way of the fashion industry where she worked in PR representing Jimmy Choo, Nanette Lepore, Elie Saab, and more, followed by many years managing the production and operations for fashion labels. Katie studied accounting and finance at California State University of Los Angeles with a B.S. in Business Administration. In 2009, Katie joined Epic Pictures as their production accountant and bookkeeper, and over the years proceeded to be the head of the accounting department. At Epic, Katie manages the day to day operations as well as the financial and accounting management of the company. When she's not behind the computer crunching numbers, or buried under piles of papers, you’ll likely find her on the ski slopes in Mammoth.   • Born and raised on the East Coast, Yulissa moved to Los Angeles to escape her number one enemy, the snow. Driven by her love of film, she joined the Epic Pictures family, where her administrative and creative skills have been put to good use. Yulissa continues to grow with Epic Pictures as head of U.S. Distribution and contributing to their original productions and acquisitions. Favorite Band: The Strokes Favorite Movie: Children of Men

  • Kalani Dreimanis joins Epic Pictures from Myriad Pictures, working largely in international sales and distribution, and most recently representing the critically acclaimed SXSW film Support The Girls. She was involved in the production of several projects, including the Sundance film The Last Word. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Kalani majored in broadcasting at Ryerson University, and after producing several short films, began her career as an editor in reality television. After moving to Los Angeles, she focused her efforts towards film production and development, and joined Straight Up Films, where she worked on such pictures as Transcendence and Jane Got A Gun. Kalani has an eye for original, stirring content, and enjoys being a part of a team who shares her love of cinema, and the challenges of the ever-changing market.

  • Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Maju majored in Business while doing several independent courses in Film. A Cinephile since birth, she started her career in Sales at an Online Payments company eventually moving on to Film Distribution because she wanted to sell something she truly loved and believed in. She is proud to have distributed “Boy And The World”, the first Latin film ever to be nominated for Best Animated Feature (which of course lost to a Disney flick). She then worked in the Distribution hub of O2 Filmes, the biggest production company in Brazil and home to her favorite Brazilian film ever: “City of God”. Having relocated first to Vancouver, Canada, she continued doing International Sales now of North-American content and travelled to most major markets such as MIP, Cannes, Discop, Ventana Sur, Berlin then finally Frontieres in Montreal where she met Patrick and started her path towards the Epic Family! On her free time she enjoys hiking, biking, yoga, snowboarding, watching infinite hours of film and TV and exploring her Foodie obsession with finding weird, yet tasty eats. Favorite Movie: Too many! Most recently: Melancholia and The Great Beauty (an Italian masterpiece!) Favorite TV Show: Friends, Gilmore Girls, Sopranos, Mad Men (in chronological order with my life!)

  • Originally from the Canadian prairies, Michele moved to Montreal to study costume design for film and television. Her work can be seen in the short film, “The Makeover” and several theatrical productions including Amadeus by Peter Shaffer. Her love of film drew her to Fantasia International Film Festival where she worked for five years. As Director of Hospitality she had the opportunity to meet a number of producers, directors and actors which is where she was introduced to the Epic Pictures team. Now located in Vancouver, Michele has joined Epic Pictures’ team as International Sales Coordinator.

  • Jon Condit is a native born Californian and life long lover of film, with an emphasis on horror and sci-fi. With a career as an online publisher spanning almost 20 years he grew up on a steady diet of drawing and video games. Naturally his interests led to programming and design with the advent of the internet. He hand coded his first website in Notepad, a humble Buffy The Vampire Slayer fansite, on GeoCities in 1996. In 2001 he met his now business partner Steve Barton while working on Fangoria.com and the two would go on to found Dread Central together in 2006. Currently he’s working on taking Dread Central into new territory alongside their new partner Patrick Ewald of Epic Pictures Group who acquired the website in 2017 and together launched a distribution label focusing on indie horror.

  • Jonathan Barkan is a proud Michigander who graduated from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) with a degree in Business, Communications, and Music. He has been a lifelong fan of movies, particularly in the horror genre after, at a young age, seeing Freddy burst through Joey's waterbed in A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master. When not watching or writing about horror, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his Swedish Vallhund, Dante, as well as strumming his guitar, playing euchre with friends, and updating his Amazon wishlist.

  • Greg has worked as a writer, producer, director, and reporter for over two decades, with primary focus on the horror genre. Before joining the Epic team in 2018, he was Staff Writer and Assistant Editor for FEARnet.com and Blumhouse.com; at the latter, he co-produced, wrote and directed the web series TALES FROM THE NETHERWEB for Blumhouse Digital, and created original content for ad campaigns with several major studios. Greg is also a composer, who wrote and recorded music scores for feature films RED CLOVER, MADE ME DO IT and LONELY AMONG US, as well as dozens of shorts, web series and national TV spots for clients like Cancer Treatment Centers of America and Pet Collective. Favorite Movie: BLADE RUNNER (1982); Favorite Music: David Bowie; Favorite Book: DHALGREN by Samuel R. Delany

  • Michelle Vezilj is an award winning singer-songwriter and producer. She recently opened for Frank Turner with Sofar Sounds in support of Amnesty International, wrote original music and associate produced the feature film Sargasso, written and directed by Adam Sigal and starring Academy Award nominated actor, Tom Berenger, and wrote the theme song for the upcoming series Astral which was just picked up by Adaptive Studios. Next up, Michelle is set to write music for the family feature Summer Gold, for Jacki Lippman's feature animation Boy King with music composed by Hans Zimmer's right hand lady, Czarina Russell, and the theme song for an untitled pilot with major interest from Sony Entertainment, Lionsgate, and Paramount Pictures.

  • Johnny Oliver Tabor is an artist and visionary bringing a much needed slice of raw grit to the ever demanding film industry. Growing up as a home-schooled child, he began to draw and write short stories of his travels and experiences of living in some of the most isolated places in the U.S. and abroad. He would later be admitted into the art program at San Diego State University while he was still a teen. Johnny was introduced to Epic after winning an online contest for best poster design for “Last Rampage”. Since then he has gone on to create key art for almost every single Epic Title since 2018.   • Cristal Reyes grew up in LA, so yes, locals do exist!  She holds an Accounting degree with a minor in Economics and is an active member of the California Society of CPAs.  Cristal has a well rounded accounting background in various industries including real estate and manufacturing.  On her free time she gets a boost of adrenaline by hiking summits all over SoCal and playing cello in a band that gigs around the city.
