  • Patrick Ewald became the CEO of Epic Pictures Group, Inc. in 2007 with the goal of bringing original and visionary storytelling to a global audience. Patrick’s career in the film business spans over 20 years as a senior level executive and has been involved in the development, financing, production and marketing of over 100 films. Patrick has produced/executive produced over 35 films which include: “TURBO KID,” “SPACE DOGS,” “WHO GETS THE DOG,” “TALES OF HALLOWEEN,” ENTERTAINMENT,” “JERUZALEM,” “ENTERTAINMENT,” “THE DEVIL’S CHAIR,” “11-11-11” and is currently producing/executive producing “THE LODGERS,” “REDCON-1,” “THE NANNY,” and “RADIUS.” You might find Patrick vanquishing man-eating spiders or orbiting space in the company of the first interstellar canines. You might find him quelling a zombie uprising or navigating an apocalyptic future with superheroes by his side. You might find him at any of the former, but more likely you'll find him at home with his wife, three daughters, and dog, Lola, curled up on the couch engrossed in a film. A New York City native, Mr. Ewald is a two-time Saturn Award winner and an active member of the Producers Guild of America.  He graduated from Duke University with a degree in film studies.

  • Mr. Berenson has produced and executive produced twenty two films including the animated franchise SPACE DOGS, which includes two feature films and two TV series, SXSW Audience Award Winner TURBO KID, critically acclaimed experimental dark-comedy ENTERTAINMENT genre all-star horror anthology TALES OF HALLOWEEN.  Prior to Epic Pictures, Mr. Berenson served as Director of Sales at Renegade Pictures, as well as Director of Technology and International Relations for the Giffoni Hollywood Film Festival. In his previous career, Mr. Berenson has worked as a project consultant to Elbit Systems, a Global Defense Electronic Company and as a program developer for Net Vision, an Internet solutions company. Mr. Berenson has served on the IFTA Board of Directors since 2011 and is also an experienced pilot with a degree in Economics and Business from UCLA/Anderson.

  • Paula Moreno started her career in production with an extensive portfolio of global and domestic filmmaking, marketing and distribution success. Time film critic Richard Corliss called her film, IJE, a "super production” breaking box office records in the West African market in 2010. After her success in the West African market, Paula quickly moved on to marketing and theatrical distribution internationally and domestically, some of her work include working on films for Fox Domestic and International, Pantelion, NewLand Films and UniFrance. Her inspirational quote: "It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood.” Top Favorite Movies: Happy Feet, Zootopia and The Iron Giant. Favorite Actor: Chuck Norris (because he never runs out of ammo)

  • Michael was born and raised in Northern California and graduated from Tufts University with a BA in Art History. Michael worked in New York and San Francisco as a Sales Executive in the Art, Finance, and Tech, industries for over 10 years. He moved to Los Angeles in 2012 to pursue a career in Entertainment and has never looked back. He has been the Director of Sales and Business Development for two Film Distribution companies prior to joining Epic Pictures in 2017. When he’s not working he can be found hiking the trails of Temescal Canyon, playing tennis, trying a new restaurant, or binge watching Netflix. Favorite Movie: Run Lola Run

  • Born and raised in Southern California, I’ve been obsessed with the entertainment industry ever since I was young. I received my BA in Film and Media with a minor in management at the University of California, Irvine. During my free time, I love to hike trails in LA and OC and try different places to eat. At Epic, I handle sales and film festival coordination and get to travel to different film markets such as Filmart in Hong Kong, NATPE in Budapest and Marche du Film/ MIPCOM in Cannes (aka I have the best job at Epic).   • For better or worse, it was the musical “Grease" that set Wesley on a path to want to work in film. “Who doesn’t love that movie?!”, you might hear him say proudly and constantly. Originally from Indiana, Wesley moved to Los Angeles after college and has been working in entertainment ever since. At Epic, Wesley handles all incoming materials for potential acquisition and creative on Epic productions.   • Growing up in a small town in Tennessee, life was far from extraordinary for Alex. However, that is where his fascination with the movies began. After attending film school in Nashville, TN, Alex began working in the industry on various project in Tennessee, including the ABC television series, NASHVILLE, as well as the Burt Reynolds feature, DOG YEARS. Eventually, Alex decided to make the move to Los Angeles, where he found his way into the Epic family. Alex often goes off the philosophy of director Akira Kurosawa, "I've been able to work for so long because I think, 'Next time, I'll make something good.’” At Epic, Alex handles the coordination of materials to be delivered to our clients, as well as assisting with the creation of marketing materials. I studied accounting and finance at California State University of Los Angeles with a B.S. in Business Administration. In 2009, I joined Epic Pictures as their bookkeeper, and proceeded to be the head of the accounting department. When I’m not behind the computer crunching numbers, or buried under piles of papers, you’ll likely find me on the ski slopes in Mammoth or Utah.
